houston, we have a bodice.
slipstitching the yoke to the bodice is slow but nice because we can watch deadwood while i do it. i had to completely make the yoke twice– the first time i was careless and nothing lined up correctly. second time through i was vigilant with measuring and now its perfect.
darts.
sewing is different than knitting in that you have to set aside time for it, its much less quick to pick up and its not really possible to make it portable. at least, at this stage of the game it is.

ive started making a dress! its vogue vintage V2902. my friend who is a dress-sewing master is helping me with it. i’ve made my muslin and it fits, so its on to cutting it out with my real fabric! hella yeah circle skirt!
